We're Tamil Fest !
Tamil Fest is the largest Tamil street festival of its kind outside of the Indian subcontinent. Tamil Fest focuses on promoting diversity by sharing the rich Tamil Culture among fellow Torontonions and Canadians, through great exposure to cultural food, artistic talents and traditional activities. Our objective is to foster the better understanding between other communities and the Tamil community.
The Tenth Annual TamilFest!
The Toronto Tamil Street Festival will build on its successes over the last 10 years. In our inaugural year we witnessed over 90,000 people converge on the streets of Toronto over two days. Over the years Tamil Fest has seen over 250,000 attendees marking Tamil Fest as the largest event in east Toronto’s history. For it's tenth year, local artists and international headliners will be engaged with great fan-fare for a massive six-hour live program.
Bigger Than Ever!
This year, the tenth annual Tamil Fest intends to build on its previous successes in the form of two fun-packed days. Our location on Markham Road (Highway 48) is one of the City’s most used roadways! It will effectively draw a diverse crowd through showcasing the rich and vibrant culture, music, cuisine and traditions of the Tamil community in a unique platform.
