ABOUT TAMIL FEST


The Tamil Canadian community is one of the fastest growing communities in Canada, boasting of thousands of successful professionals, entrepreneurs and active community members nurturing a thriving arts and cultural scene.  Today the community is over 300,000 strong with a significant presence in the City of Toronto.

The Tamil Street Festival aims to bring together for the very first time a two-day street festival that will showcase the rich and vibrant culture, music, cuisine and traditions of the Tamils in a unique platform that has never been done before in Toronto.
This event will be historic and will be the largest Tamil Street Festival outside of the Indian Sub-continent.

Be dazzled with street performances highlighting traditional and modern Tamil culture.  These exciting performances will occur throughout the two days with many surprise and special acts!  These acts alone are worth the visit and will keep you talking for days as many never before seen acts in a street festival format has ever been done.

TTC is the better way to get to Tamil Fest. From Scarborough Centre Station, board the 133 Neilson Road and get off at Morningside Ave and Finch Ave (adjacent to the festival site). For schedules of 133, please click here.

From Highway 401, Exit Neilson North and proceed northbound until Morningside Avenue.

From Highway 407, Exit Markham Road proceed southbound until Mc Nicol Avenue, take a left eastbound until Morningside Avenue. Proceed eastbound on Morningside until Neilson Avenue.
